Live Wires: Sunday

Live Wires:Sunday is a group for young people in school years 4-6, meeting during the 10:30 service on Sunday Mornings.

We start off in the church service and then go to our own activities in the Lower Hall. Sunday morning’s might involve making a video, taking part in a quiz or playing games, but the focus will always be on learning more about Jesus and how we can live as his followers.

On the first Sunday of the month there is a family service so we are in church for the whole service. When there is a communion service (usually the fourth Sunday of the month) Live Wires:Sunday will go out during the first hymn and will rejoin their parents in time for communion.

Live Wires (Tuesday Evening)

Live Wires is a group for young people in school years 4-6, meeting on Tuesday evenings from 5:45 to 6:45pm.

We start off in the Lower Hall for games and activities and then move up to the church lounge for a programme of interactive teaching, using video, music, drama and activities. The evening usually finishes with more games in the hall and a chance to visit the tuck shop to buy penny sweets to take home.

At the end of each term there is usually a trip, which could be skiing, swimming, bowling, quasar or a similar activity.

In May the year 6 members of Live Wires are invited to come on the Rock Solid weekend away. Each session costs 70p, which is payable on arrival.
