This is a quieter, more formal service using the Book of Common Prayer. The service leader and the choir wear robes and the service includes traditional elements such as sung psalms and canticles and well known and loved hymns and a homily based on the lectionary readings from the Book of Common Prayer. The service lasts approximately 45 minutes.
On the first Sunday of the month the service will last longer, including Holy Communion and a 20 minute sermon.
On the last Sunday of the month all the regular evening services take a break for Lower Level, our cafe-style church which meets in the lower hall at 7pm.
There are no evening services during August. Evening Prayer begins again on 6th September.
