Although St. Matthew’s building is in use throughout the week, it is sometimes possible to hire the hall or lounge for private functions, children's parties and community events. We are unable to accept any commercial bookings, unless there is a strong connection to the local area.
The Lower Hall was refurbished in 2001 and offers a large carpeted area with seating for up to 150 adults and a fully equipped kitchen. The Lounge was built in 2006 and offers a smaller space, with seating for 40 adults. Adjacent to the Lounge is a fully equipped kitchen which can be hired in addition to the lounge. There is easy disabled access to the Lounge and Lower Hall, although all the toilets are on the upper floor and are only accessible from the Lower Hall via a stair case.
